parabôla ("we", "us") is an app for finding, hosting and joining pickup soccer games. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
You must be 13 or older. One account per phone number. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your number and handle accurate.
Games are organized by players, not by us. Public courts are used at your own risk and subject to local rules. Paid courts are booked with the venue; prices shown come from the venue's listing. We are not a party to disputes between players or between players and venues.
parabôla is free: nothing is sold or charged in the app. Court fees at paid venues are paid to the venue directly, on the venue's terms; we don't collect, hold or refund them. If we ever offer paid features, they will be sold through the App Store under Apple's terms, and we'll update these terms first. We'll tell you in the app before any paid feature launches, and you'll never be charged unless you choose to buy something yourself.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post or send anything sexual, hateful, violent, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, illegal or spam, in comments, chat, messages, ratings and feedback notes, court suggestions, your profile, or on the court. Report content or players from the app (long-press a message or comment, or use the menu next to a player), and block anyone you don't want to hear from. We review every report within 24 hours; content that breaks these rules is removed and the user who posted it is ejected from parabôla, and may be banned permanently.
Courts you suggest, comments, messages and feedback notes remain yours; you give us a license to show them in the app. Stars rate how someone played that game, not who they are. Feedback notes must be constructive; abusive notes are removed and their author banned. Comments and game rosters are public; see the Privacy Policy. Suggested courts are marked unverified until the ParaBola team checks them. Court photos you send are used only for that check and are never shown in the app.
Uploading game footage is optional. Upload only video you filmed or have the right to share, and only if everyone playing agreed to be filmed and to the video being sent to ParaBola (a parent agreed for anyone under 18). You keep ownership; you give us a license to store it and use it to analyse the game and improve ParaBola's stats models. If you remove a video, we delete the file, but analysis we have already done with it, and the models improved by it, are not undone. Footage that breaks section 4, or that someone in it asks us to remove, is deleted. We keep footage for up to 12 months; see the Privacy Policy.
Delete your account any time from the Me tab → Settings (gear icon). We remove your profile, games and messages within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
The app is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law we are not liable for injuries, losses or damages arising from games you attend.
We may update these terms; we'll notify you in the app before material changes take effect.
